I Wish I Was a Little Bit Taller....

While watching the terrible show that is "You Are What You Eat - Gillian Moves In" on Channel 4 last night, the Boy and I were discussing BMI (Body Mass Index). I commented on how one of the women on last night's show must be shorter in height than me, because she weighed the same as me but looked (I think) a lot fatter that I look (I hope). The Boy agreed that indeed I didn't look as fat as the woman on TV.

He then asked what height I am. I'm 5'9" while he is (according to him) 5'10" apparently. I'm not so sure that is even slightly taller than me. I am more of the viewpoint that he is smaller than me. I think he's got that man disease (similar to Man Flu) where all men are convinced that they are taller than they actually are. I will get to the bottom of this, if I have to measure him myself!! The Boy is really good at Maths so one would assume that he should know what height he is....

A small note from the author in relation to recent absence: Blogger officially hates me and has eaten some posts that have taken me ages to write. I am not happy about this so have taken to writing in Word and then copying across. There is no such thing as normal service on this blog I'm afraid. I am managing to find time to lurk on other people's blogs and comment on others from time to time. Hope you're all well.

If I was 5'11, I'd be the perfect weight for my height. As it is, I'm 5'4, so the bag of Haribos I've been scoffing is out and 4 cardio sessions a week are in! :-(

CB....

I seem to remember that there is next to no fat in Haribos although there are calories - so not quite sure how that stacks up. A little of what you fancy and all that!

Hello

Firstly I always write in word first and paste up.

Secondly I AM taller than boyfriend, no hiding that fact or getting away from it. I guess I am a kick on arse of 6 foot and he is average but his average looks small beside me. We are used to it though. Obviously means no heels and him arguing that I am wearing heels when I am wearing the flattest of flat pumps. . .

I always write in an email rather than Word, especially if I need to put links in - it seems to be the only way I can get it to work.

Re the height thing, I am 5ft 6 and because my dad and brother were/are both well over 6ft, I consider any man under 6ft a midget. At university I had a three year relationship with a man of 5ft 10 and the entire time I insisted I was taller than him.

Cat and DQ - I love your comments about tall/short men! I will be measuring the Boy one of these days. Also Word is definitely the way forward for writing my posts. Thank you.
